Money pours in for Hawks – $100,000 bet on Hawks to beat Crows

A Sportingbet Australia punter has plonked $100,000 on Hawthorn at $1.15 to beat Adelaide in Saturday’s AFL preliminary final at the MCG.

Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said it’s been one way traffic for the Hawks so far in betting.

“We’ve taken plenty of five figure bets on the Hawks aswell and punters have crunched them from $1.18 into $1.13,” Sullivan said.

“Hawthorn could start even shorter than $1.13 if the money continues to pour in for them and it seems punters are only just getting warmed up.”

“The Hawks are the hottest favourites in AFL preliminary final history.”

Adelaide is friendless in betting with their price drifting from $4.85 out to $6.20. They did get out to as much as $6.50.

In Friday night’s game Sydney remain solid $1.63 favourites to beat Collingwood at $2.30, despite the Swans having lost their last 11 straight against the Pies.

The Oracle's Racing Tips

Image Hunter left them for dead last outing of the 1200m, streaking away. Should handle the mile and is drawn to settle back which is her preference.
No.1 Object of Virtue failed in town last start but has placed 9 of 16 at Grafton and a little sting out of the track suits.
No.5 Virte Dieu looks the best of the day at Grafton. He led all the way on debut and can back it up here.
Verte Dieu did enough to win on debut over 1000m and should be fitter for the run. Can repeat.
Road To Summer missed by a head last start and has wins around the 1000-1200m marks. Has not missed the podium in his last 5 outings, a real hope.
No.1 Champagne Rock has the big weight of 59kg but was excellent in the Casino Cup last start and a repeat of that run will win this.
Going wide in the last with No.9 Atlas Shrugged from the Gordon Yorke yard. He has been running on a treat lately and his price is silly. Each-way.
Star of Sharyn won't feel a thing on her back after the 1. 5kg claim takes her weight down to 52. 5kg. Closed well last start wto win after being a touch off the pace first up. Looks better this time r
No.12 Staretto was excellent at Wagga two starts back and a repeat of that runs wins this.
Helsinki Fashion was 2nd last outing after it was 3 wide, no cover for the trip. Went on to make good ground and just miss so with better luck should go well.
Menarka was a big let down last start after three podium finishes before it. Was ridden out the back when previous said it should be ridden keen, should get every opportunity from the rails draw.
No.6 Speedastro has returned well from a spell and is ready to win third-up.
No.3 Special Quality has never finished further back than third in three runs at Wodonga and can win again at his favourite track.
Prairie Sun was a winner first up last campaign and is suited well at the weights with the 3kg claim.
I'm Ready For This was racing in Spring Saturday class in his last campaign. Has the class and is 1 for 1 at this track.
No.12 I'm Ready For This has improved at each of his three runs back and has already been tried in town. This is his grade.
No.4 Diamond Costa maps well for this and is well suited to the step up to a mile.
Allelu was held up down the straight last outing and battled on for second. Has been near enough for the majority of this campaign and runs well enough on the dead track.
