Money pours in for Hawks – $100,000 bet on Hawks to beat Crows

A Sportingbet Australia punter has plonked $100,000 on Hawthorn at $1.15 to beat Adelaide in Saturday’s AFL preliminary final at the MCG.

Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said it’s been one way traffic for the Hawks so far in betting.

“We’ve taken plenty of five figure bets on the Hawks aswell and punters have crunched them from $1.18 into $1.13,” Sullivan said.

“Hawthorn could start even shorter than $1.13 if the money continues to pour in for them and it seems punters are only just getting warmed up.”

“The Hawks are the hottest favourites in AFL preliminary final history.”

Adelaide is friendless in betting with their price drifting from $4.85 out to $6.20. They did get out to as much as $6.50.

In Friday night’s game Sydney remain solid $1.63 favourites to beat Collingwood at $2.30, despite the Swans having lost their last 11 straight against the Pies.

Sullo's Racing Tips

Single Days is a very smart horse in the making and The Baron's happy to be with him first-up.
Alaska should get the gun run from barrier 1 and his prior form stacks up well. Fan of the Snowden/Vlad combo too.
Lord Of The Sky will be very short but should be too nippy for his rivals over 1000m with just 51kg on his back.
Count Of Limonade is The Baron's best of the day. Will take plenty of improvement from his first-up run and won't be as far away today.
Mourayan is clearly the class runner and happy to give him one last chance here. Want to see him rolling along in front.
Honey Steel's Gold looks very well suited under the set weight scale and the way he hit the line over 2400m suggests he'll relish this longer trip.
Jemerica looks the value runner. Liked the manner of his last-start win and his jumpout since was very sharp.
Expect Double Dee to win despite the weight and barrier. Her run was huge last start and The Baron has her pegged as a coming Group winner.
Charlie Royale has been charging home in his races and is ready to win now.
Murphy's Delight will be hard to beat in this small field. Gets services of James McDonald too.
Big drop back in class for Vilanova and like the way he has been hitting the line lately. G2 winner only three runs back.
Stable have always held Mihiri in high regard and now she has broken through she might go on with it.
Encostanati has trialled very nicely leading into this and has recent form around Calming Influence.
The Baron's sticking solid with My Question To You, who he has tipped before. Better suited on top of the ground and gets the gun run.
Not sure why it's been so long between runs for Senta De Noche but he is the best horse in the race. Should win if right.
Agon has turned in two ripping runs recently and is due to break through. 1100m is her pet trip too (4:2-1-0).
